PUBLICATION INFORMATION
Power For Today Magazine has been in continuous monthly circulation since April 2002. Originally published by Revival Ministries International, the Power For Today Newsletter began as a six-page update for ministry happenings. It quickly became a forum for Scriptural study and education, and became a magazine in January 2004. Apocalypse Watch Journal examines current events in the light of prophecy and Scriptural understanding. It also seeks to sort out myths from facts when it comes to matters of conspiracy theories, and give a voice to so-called conspiracy theories which are in actuality true. This e-zine will begin in 2010 and will be published as an extensive journal (100+ pages) twice per year. We are seeking well-written articles on current events, especially in the light of Scriptural prophecy and understanding. Subscriptions to Apocalypse Watch are free but donations are greatly appreciated. The Feminist Christian Magazine will be a magazine designed for, by, and about Christian women. We seek well-written which pertain to women's lives, the study of Christian feminism, and more. We hope to begin this magazine in 2010. Writers must come from a Christian feminist perspective. We will not give space to opposing viewpoints. We are also planning a magazine for teenagers titled Set An Example, and a magazine providing an alternative Christian view to major world events titled The Alternative Voice. We will hopefully be looking for qualifying submissions sometime in the next two to three years. READER INFORMATION Our entire readership sincerely seeks a deeper walk with God. Some of our readers attend services; many of our readers attend churches affiliated with Apostolic Fellowship International Ministries or those that receive apostolic covering with our ministry. Some of our readers are also affiliated with churches we have helped in structure or in preaching. Many have also found us through services, conferences, and our radio programs. We also have a high following among the "unchurched," those who, while deeply believing in God, find current religious trends out of step Scripturally or spiritually. Many of these consider our ministry their "church" and a center for spiritual teaching. We also have a high student population with those studying through Apostolic University. Our subscribers come from a variety of life situations, income backgrounds, educational settings, and nations. We have readers in the United States, Latin America, Africa and Asia. Currently we are expanding into new areas of the world as many seek to develop a deeper walk with God. Our readership is very balanced between the sexes, with a slightly higher number of male readers than female. We have readers in all age groups; our youngest subscribers are in their twenties and our oldest subscribers are in their early seventies. ARTICLES AND COLUMN SUBMISSIONS - POWER FOR TODAY MAGAZINE
We welcome general articles, which may be contributed monthly, bi-monthly, or occasionally. They may be on any variety of subjects as chosen by the author as deemed appropriate content by the magazine editors. We look for well-written articles that educate, inform, and provide solid spiritual edification to our readers. When writing on current events, please avoid political partisanship or such opinionated content that promotes a political patriotism. For example, writing on the horrors of war or the side effects war causes on civilians or the spiritual lives of those who live through war is acceptable versus writing on the Republican perspective on why war with Iraq is necessary, which would be unacceptable. Current event articles should contain facts and statistics to back up statements, if at all possible. Articles should be between 900 and 1,500 words. Monthly and bi-monthly submissions by regular contributors are due by the twentieth (20th) of each month. Occasional submissions may be accepted any time and will be published as space and theme allows. Those seeking to write a column have the responsibility to submit it monthly. The column must have a title and must be between 500 and 900 words. Columns can be on a variety of issues: current events, question and answer, spiritual or Biblical subjects, health and wellness, media reviews, relationship principles, or other topics. Regular columnists who work in question and answer may open questions up to our readers and may receive emails through Apostolic Fellowship International Ministries (we will forward them to you). Columns must be submitted by the twentieth (20th) of each month. Point of View Columns must relate a specific experience with spiritual application or lessons learned. They must be at least 500 words long and no longer than 1,200 words. Point of View Columns may be on any topic an individual desires, following criteria established for all articles. As we seek diverse points of view for this column, it is open to all and submissions are accepted at any time. Submissions too short for any article or column will be returned for a lengthening of your work and submissions too long will be edited down or returned to you for editing. This publication seeks news and information that is factual, but may not be promoted in the general media or among nominative Christian circles. Articles should be between 900 and 1,500 words. The journal will be published once in January and once in July each year, and submissions are required by October (for inclusion in the January edition) and April (for inclusion in the July edition). We accept article submissions for Power For Today regularly in the areas of general articles, columns, and point of views. General guidelines include: all submissions must be well-written, typed, and double-spaced if sent by standard mail. Email submissions must include the type of submission (General article, column, point of view) in the subject line followed by the title. Language should be clean and when speaking of things of a Scriptural nature, should reflect Scriptural terminology.
